What is Exclusion?
the act of not allowing someone or something to take part in an activity or to enter a place.
ExamplesFixed Term Exclusion- A school student may be excluded for any period up to 45 days in any school year. A date must be given for the school student to return to the same school.
Permanent Exclusion- is the most serious punishment a school can give if a student that does something that is against the school's rules. Real Life SituationJennea Purcell, a transgender student from Hawaii, claims she was prohibited from wearing a white graduation robe (customary for girls in Hawaii) and altogether forbidden from attending the annual graduation dance.
