Outing Definition: when information is sent or published online that is confidential, private, or embarrassing. Or private email messages or pictures meant for private viewing, are forwarded to others.
Trickery Definition: when someone purposely tricks another person into sharing secrets, private information, or embarrassing information, and publishes that information online. Examples: Outing: A classmate shares private information about someone in order to put them down. Someone discovers some private information about someone and starts to post it online without their consent. Trickery: When someone pretends to be your friend and they gather personal information about you, but then they use it against you. When a friend tricks you into sending them pictures and you use them to make fun of them. |
In the NewsShamyah Booker, a sixth grader, at Clinton Middle School when she became a victim of cyber bulling. Students started sending a Snap chat around that made her feel upset. The district has a no bullying policy and its taking matters into their hands.
